9th September 2010 Hi
Welcome to our new website. LIFEWISE is a not-for-profit community agency that is initiating new ways to solve challenging social issues and provides services to vulnerable and at-risk people of all ages. I’d encourage you to take some time to browse the site. There’s up-to-date information about the issues we’re addressing. You can also find out about some of the community-wide campaigns we're running such as 101 Ways to Live Wisely (and Well) featured here on our home page.
Over the next few months we'll be adding extra features to this website so please come back and visit our site again soon.

Small Actions Big Difference
On October 17th 2009 Aucklanders celebrated the inaugural Neighbours Day. LIFEWISE developed this community initiative as only 50% of Aucklanders know their neighbours, yet a massive 82% of Aucklanders would like to know their neighbours better.
Every day at LIFEWISE we deal with the fallout caused by social issues such as child abuse, family violence, isolation and poverty. Healthy neighbourhoods are so important in building a strong community where people know and help each other out.
We're now working with organisations around the country to make Neighbours Day something all New Zealanders can get involved in. Interested in knowing more? Email the team at kiaora@neighboursday.org.nz
